All of this is amplified by having international colleagues and cross-continental academic collaboration.

I have chosen DCLead because:
It is an opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to lead digital change management initiatives across the globe. This is developed through the mobility aspect encouraged by programme, as well as working together with the other DC Leaders who represent so many nationalities.

I have chosen DCLead because:
Politics is lagging behind technological progress and so is our society as a whole. This creates a demand for experts with in-depth understanding of ICT innovations and know-how in the socio-institutional sphere who are able to mediate between stakeholders in order to secure a better tomorrow. With its top-notch interdisciplinary academic approach and international point of view, DCLead will equip me with the right tools and skills to become a future leader in digital communication.

I have chosen DCLead because:
The DCLead program is a unique master program with many Industrial partners and different academic institutes. For me it’s a perfect combination of academic and practical experience. It will allow me to gain the insight of social and ethical aspects of deploying IT systems. DCLead provided me the opportunity to study with the people who are all from diverse backgrounds. I believe this program will direct me towards the digitization for the betterment of society.

I have chosen DCLead because I want to be the pioneer of Digital Transformation. This program offers insight on all aspects of digital technologies including policy, innovation, management, ethics, and social studies. A great business of the future requires a deeper understanding and knowledge of digitalization and its impact on society. To be in Europe and witness this era will inspire me towards improving Malaysia to be a better technological nation and hopefully be part of that transformation.

I have chosen DCLead because:
If I had to choose two things in life that I am passionate about are, without any doubt, people and technology. My development as a student, as a person and as an active citizen has made me highly aware of the fact that joining DCLead can help me get a better understanding on how society is being constantly shaped by ICT tools and how to have an active and ethical role in this process. I am positive about how this interdisciplinary and multicultural experience, getting the opportunity to work with 21 people from 19 different nationalities, will allow me to contribute to society in a better way, generating a positive impact with my future work.

I have chosen DCLead because:
I am interested in broadening my work within the nonprofit health sector to promote the integration of digital media and technologies in the design of health communications and promotional strategies. DCLead will enhance my skills and knowledge to design digital health strategies focused on moving mobile health and electronic health initiatives from pilots to scale, including by integrating digital technologies into existing health system infrastructures and regulations.

I have chosen DCLead because:
While working as a Political Referent I realised how important digital communication is in our age. News – true or fake – spread around the world within a few minutes. This offers not only opportunities but also challenges. DCLead will provide me with the skills to identify, understand and overcome these challenges.
Moreover, the programme has an international and interdisciplinary approach. I will meet and exchange with people from various cultural and professional backgrounds, learn from their experiences and gain as much knowledge as possible.

I have chosen DCLead because:
I have always thrived in an international environment that challenges my outlook of the world and helps me improve myself in many ways. Being surrounded by international fellow scholars will grant me an opportunity to think broader, learn from them and grow together to become next generation of digital communication leaders. Moreover, I am certain DC Lead’s curriculum will help me delve into the role of digital communication in our society and gain a fresh view on its effect on us and people around us.

I have chosen DCLead because:
It fills a knowledge gap I have with regards to media policy and innovation. I’m interested in how digital policy can effect social change in media in the global south context. I hope to continue working towards positive developmental change in my country, with a focus on digital storytelling; to construct new narratives and perhaps challenge those that are detrimental to positive change.
